Daddy’s Black T-Shirt Makes a Great Bib - A Real Stain Saver!

Last night was pasta night a family favorite...really everyone loves it, everyone except Mom! It’s not that I don’t like pasta, I do I just dread the messy clean up.

Just envision a 2 year old boy happily polishing off his bowl of pasta, noodles twirling around like a cowboy’s rope with red sauce flying through the air speckling the walls, the floor, and everything in between with tiny red dots. There’s sure to be some red sauce smeared in hair, perhaps even an ear if we’re lucky. That part doesn’t bother me, because I can easily wipe down the kitchen and throw my son in the bath to clean up the really saucy stuff.

The part that I dread is the dirt laundry. They just don’t make a bib large enough to shield a two year old from getting tough to remove marinara sauce stains out of his clothes. So I came up with my own, something I already had in the house - Daddy’s Black T-Shirt! Well, it’s an old undershirt really, but it works. It’s dark enough that I can just throw it in the washing machine with a load of dirty boy clothes and it doesn’t look all yucky and stained. No scrubbing or stain remover required. At first, my husband thought I was a little crazy trying to put his T-Shirt on our little man, but it covered and protected all his clothes so it totally works for me!
