I admit I’m a pretty spontaneous menu planner, typically only planning meals a day or so ahead of time. Official menu planning is new to me, but I hope it will make life easier! I think it’s important to eat healthy, home cooked meals as much as possible and I think organizing a menu plan will give me more time rather than wasting time struggling to decide what to make for dinner. I try to feed our family whole natural foods without added sugars, preservatives, or artificial anything. I take help from healthy products when I can and do my best to make eating healthy, tasty and affordable. This is what’s on the menu this week at our house:
Breakfasts: Steel Cut Oatmeal topped with Bananas and Walnuts, Whole Wheat Waffles, Veggie Omelets, Greek Yogurt with Granola, Cereal
Lunches: We make enough for dinner to turn the leftovers into a quick and tasty lunch the next day.
Snacks: Apples with Cinnamon, Oranges, Carrots & Celery with Homemade Hummus, Raisins, Nuts, Cheese & Multigrain Crackers
Dinners:
Monday – Minestrone Soup, Salad with Homemade Vinaigrette, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Tuesday – Spaghetti Squash Casserole served with a Side Salad
Wednesday – Smoked Chicken Breast, Steamed Broccoli, Macaroni & Cheese
Thursday – Vegetable Stir Fry with Brown Rice
Friday – Crockpot Chicken Curry with Potatoes, Peas, and Carrots
Saturday – Homemade Pizza Night
Sunday – Roasted Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Roasted Vegetables, Apple Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream
