Greek Festival in Honolulu Hawaii

Aloha or should I say Opa! This weekend we visited the 30th annual Greek Festival in Honolulu at McCoy Pavilion in Ala Moana Park. The festival features live music, dancing, culture, and food. Yes, lots and lots of tasty Greek food! It’s like taking a mini trip to Greece without leaving Hawaii, at least from a culinary perspective. We’re talking Gyros, Souvlaki, Baclava, and more!

We sampled a plate lunch from the Ethnic Foods area featuring Mediterranean and Greek Specialties, a Gyro, refreshing lemon-lime sorbet, and a box of delicious Greek Pastries that proved to be worth a rather long wait in line.

We also got to a glimpse of the beautiful Ala Moana Beach located across the street from the festival.

We like attending festivals while traveling to join locals in experiencing fun and lively entertainment and specialty food. For more information go to: www.GreekFestivalHawaii.com

  1. I love baklava! I tried to make it once, but came to the quick conclusion that I should just continue buying already made. Teehee.

    Looks like a great time.
