Spider Web Decorated Meat and Cheese Tray – A Quick and Easy Halloween Covered Dish

If you need a creative last minute covered dish for a Halloween Party, this quick Do It Yourself covered dish may be a winner.

Just get out your favorite mustard (that’s in a squeeze bottle, if you want to use a jar of mustard transfer it into a squeeze bottle first). Squeeze the mustard out into the shape of a spider web on a serving tray. Cut pieces of your favorite meat and cheese into bite size chunks. We used my families favorite smoked turkey bologna from the farmer’s market and pieces of cheddar cheese. Insert picks into the meat and cheese and set on top of your mustard spider web tray…very festive and super easy.

The best part is any mistakes made when creating your mustard spider web can easily be corrected by placing a piece of meat or cheese over that spot…an instant fix and no one will ever know!

Next time I’ll probably hot glue plastic spiders to the ends of toothpicks for the picks. But that would take more time and this is supposed to be a quick and easy last minute covered dish. ;) Enjoy!
