Baby Shower Ideas - Beary Cute Cake for Baby

For most of our birthday cake creations, we typically don’t splurge and buy a specialized cake pan even though we love designing and decorating customized cakes. For my baby shower, we decided a cute 3D Bear Cake would be a fun addition to this special once in a lifetime event.

We found this great Stand-Up Cuddly Bear Cake Pan Set made by Wilton and decided to go for it!

I was happy to see how versatile this cake pan can be. Wilton has several ideas that transform cakes made with this pan into different types of bears and other 3D creatures for all sorts of special occasions making the pan usable year round. You can really get creative and design anything.

It's hard to believe all these amazing cakes (Dinosaur Cake, Ski Polar Bear Cake, Bumble Bee Cake, Frog Cake, Penguin Cake, and the traditional Brown Bear Cake) are made with the same 3D Bear Cake Pan.  I even saw someone transform this cake into an Elmo cake, too cute!

My baby shower was our first attempt at using this cake pan, so hopefully it will only get better each time we make one of these 3D cakes.  We decorated our cake as a chocolate brown, diaper wearing baby bear.  We stacked the 3D Bear Cake on top of a couple sheet cakes to have enough cake for everyone and added the letters BABY across the front of the cake surrounded in pastel icing squares to represent baby blocks.

It was a beary cute baby shower cake to celebrate the birth of our first baby and I’m hoping to get more mileage out of this 3D Bear Cake Pan for lots of fun future birthday and holiday cakes.
