Simple Travel Smoothies

We stopped at Sam’s Club over the weekend and they had a sample station for fruit smoothies. Our family absolutely loves smoothies, so we were excited to give the sample a try.

The ingredients were so simple: Mixed Frozen Fruit and Vanilla Soy Milk. They just tossed the ingredients in a blender and out came a delicious smoothie…no added sweeteners required.

I don’t know why it never dawned on me to whip up such a simple creation. My go to smoothie recipe includes frozen fruit, yogurt, banana, and a splash of orange juice. Delicious yes, but sometimes I don’t have all the ingredients so I don’t make smoothies…how silly!

As luck would have it I decided to bring along our small Cuisinart Immersion Hand Blender. It probably sounds strange to travel with a blender, but last time we visited Hawaii we stopped at Jamba Juice one too many times to satisfy our smoothie cravings. We had extra room and weight in our suitcase, so I decided to bring a small blender along!

We purchased both the frozen fruit and soy milk at Sam’s Club and now we’re happily enjoying our cool refreshing smoothies…yummy!
